Question about Polaroid FLM-3734B 37 in. LCD HDTV
I have a new Phillips Mag HDTV. Every day or two small black squares will appear over the picture. Now sometimes two/thirds of the picture will be covered. You can still see the pic through the black. It goes away when you turn the tv off and back on. Sometimes it will come right back, other times it won't. I use Direct TV, but with Tivo I can tell it's not the satellite signal.
It's the closed captioning. The reason it doesn't go away when you press the "caption" button is because there are four option for closed captioning: Text 1, Text 2, Text 3, and Text 4. The fifth option, which has no designation, is the "off" option. Using the remote, just click on the "caption button until the option has no designation.
Mine was a large black rectangle in the middle of the picture. It's not like Nina3's problem.
