Unplug the dryer and using a 1/2 inch pait scraper locate the spring loded clips holding the top down to the front of the cabnet. They are located about one to two inches from the front corners of the dryer.

Looking inside the dryer locate the screws holding the front panel to the cabnet and remove the screws.
Mark the wires to the door switch and remove.
Remove the front panel.
Go behind the dryer and remove the small rear panel near the bottom of the dryer.Observe how the belt is attached to the pulleys.Release the tention on the belt by moving the belt tentioner and sliding the belt off the motor pulley.
Go to the front of the dryer and grab the belt on the top of the dryer drum. Holding the belt lift the drum straight out holding the drum with the belt.

Frigidaire model# GLER341AS2 humming noise

Hello friend, thanks for your inquiry!

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer, GLER341AS2, is making a humming noise. It could be a possible issue within your belt, motor, or the blower assembly. The manufacture provides to a dryer preventative maintenance kit part number 5304457724 and it costs $45.12 plus tax and shipping. I would also recommend contacting a professional to help avoid any unnecessary purchases. I hope this helps. -Matt

My Frigidaire dryer model GLER341AS2 will not turn on. Also the light in the dryer will not come on.. but I can turn the inside of the dryer with my hand.. Could it be a fuse or do I need a new belt

please check to see if any fuses are bad or breaker thrown.
if not have someone test the outlet for 220vac.
the belt could be bad but not likely. if the light is out too. change the bulb to see if it has just went bad.

When Turned on, drum will not spin?

if the motor is running, your belt is the problem.if all you hear is a slight humming noise, you may have a bad motor,or something caught in blower. if the drum turns easily by hand, its probably the belt
