I did some cross referencing through the cite and found a very similar panasonic. The suggested solution was to replace a fuse. I found it in the back where the power cord comes in. Ran down to Radio Shack and bought a 4-pack of 6.3 slo-blo. It works great again! Thanks.

Our panasonic did something similar, but, I cannot hear it power up. It's just dead. We unplugged it, plugged it back in and nothing. The receiver is plugged into the same power strip and is working. Ours is the 36" version and is 4.5 years old. Thanks!

I have had same problem tonight with my 4 year old tv not powering up. Have checked cords and such. I'm interested in this fuse solution you're talking about. How hard is it to replace and where exactly is this fuse? The troubleshooting guide in the owners manual doesn't show it.

Sounds like it could be H.O.T which stands for horizontal output transistor or a fuse is possible. Another possibility is the FLYBACK transformer. Is there a local repair facility you could take it too? Keep me posted. Have a good day...Jay

That is awesome. See you did it. Another successful mission. And you only spent about $5.00. Congradulations. Let me know if i can help you with anything else. Have a great weekend. Jay

Was working fine last night ,went to turn it on and you can hear a buzzing by where you plug in your jacks a bee,or high pitch sound.tv has no picture or sound.only sound you hear is this buzzing

Sounds like your power supply is causing the problem. Unplug the TV wait 10 minutes, look in the back for a red button (circuit breaker) push it in. If this does not work you have a low voltage power supply fault.

TV just went off and wont turn back on, Is there a reset button?

There is no reset button per say, try unplugging the tv for a few minutes and plug it back in again and see if it will reset. If not then you may have a component failure in your set.

TV wont go back on

That would mean the TV is in some sort of error condition. Unplug the power from the wall for 30 minutes, plug it back in and see if it operates nominally.

Hello there. I'm sorry to say that it sounds as if the element that actually energizes your screen is bad. It is most likely overheating. or quite poosible the power converter lost a resistor or 2.

Tv went dead while viewing, will not power back up

You have a short somewhere in the load for the power supply. Probably the horizontal output transistor and the flyback transformer. You need to have it checked out by a tech. You may want to get an estimate. Stargazer
