Just got a new computer with Windows 7. Can;t reload the software driver to make the printer clean, and calibrate, etc. The computer doesn't recognize the CD. It's an HP Deskjet 932.

There are several reasons why this could be happening. If the computer accessing the printer changed then I assume the new computer was recently set up with software to send print information to the printer. The newest driver is probably the best... Make sure you uninstall the existing software before installing this software.

This could be a printer driver problem. Try to uninstall your existing Lexmark X4270 printer driver from your computer. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 4200 Series > Tools > Uninstall. After the process, reboot pc when prompted.
Check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. Go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Take note of the System Type.

This looks like you are using continuous paper.

Do a driver update from windows. Go to device manager, navigate to the printer 4180. Right click the printer, properties and do driver update. Let it update from the internet. It will update the driver from Microsoft site withe the correct driver. Alternatively, get the most recent drive for windows 7 from HP site.

Reload the software for the scanner. First remove the software from the control panel then reinstall it. You should have the wizard back. If not you need to go to Control Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager and see if your scanner is listed as a device. It may need a windows 7 driver if it appears with a yellow exclamation point. If it is not showing you need to go to the manufacturer site and download a new driver. Windows 7 has a lot of hardware driver issues. Once you see the scanner listed in the device tab without any yellow exclamation point you should be good to go!
