Question about Compaq Presario R3000 Notebook
My Compaq Presario is 3 years old. When I boot it up, it only brings up a black screen with a flashing cursor. I have tried using a recovery disk, but the disk only spins for a few seconds and quits. I've tried holding the "CTRL-ALT-DELETE" keys down for several seconds, but it doesn't help. Sometimes I see several green vertical lines across the screen.
I do get the set-up options, such as changing the boot order, but this doesn't change anything.
Lines are the BGA RAM Or VRAM Needing rework.. This will also cause boot issues on these models. Do you ever see the Compaq Logo? Weve repaired a ton of these and class settlement happened for the R3000's regarding the jacks but we could repair the other issue as well. (As well as install a new jack while its here).. HP's reimbursing for these outside repairs.
