You may go to control panel and go to system and then click system restore and then follow the instructions.

Sorry I gave to you the wrong information. Here you go again.

click start then on the top click accessories and then system tools and then on system tools you will find one option that is system restore. Go from there following the instruction. Restore to a date that you you know that the computer has worked best.

Also you need to know that system restore works only if you have set the your computer to do that.

Windows Xp has only two main options:

    1. System restore (which for you does not work)

    2. Windows repair or refresh. This will refresh your windo ws but then you have to install the updates.

You can do the second by entering windows xp (sp2) after you have set the computer in bios or depends in your computer (might have an option to set the boot order to cd/dvd)

This will fix any corruption with your windows. This acts like you are installing windows for the first time. This is not easy if you have not done it before.

Also this is an option only with Windows xp proffesional.

There are no other alternatives. You can recover to factory setting if your computer came with recovery cd but this option will delete everything as far as data or other programs you have installed.

If you have vista or other windows it is differernt.

Put your os system disc in and restart pc, then you start by cd, then you will get an option to install or repair, click on repair and you will get an option to restore to an earlier time. :)

How do i restore my hp pavilion ze2000 to factory settings without disks?

Hello,
Most HP Pavilions have a recovery partition on there hard drive. You will need to press f11 when you boot to activate the recovery segment of the hard drive.
Now if the recovery partition was distoryed then you will need to call Hp for replacement image disks witch they will charge to ship to you.
I do wish you good luck on this and do hope that you leave positive feedback for your response today.

Sincerely

How to reformat ze2000?

This computer can be formatted with the recovery disk. If you still have them, put the dusk in the machine, then restart. Usually should automatically boot from CD, if not either look at the screen or press F2. If you need more help, contact us at: witherspoon.corp@yahoo.co.uk

Audio driver for hp pavilion ze2000

This Link
seems to provide the best thorough approach to getting those drivers installed & working.

However, someone claims, on this forum page(last post on the page) that all you need to do is use the "windows online driver search" function, and it will handle all of the messy work of locating, downloading & installing.

I hope that helps.

I need to reboot my pavilion ze2000

You might want to download and run Malware Bytes on your machine to attempt a quick cleanup otherwise this link will take you to the page on the HP site for your model, about halfway down the page you'll see a link to order recovery discs.

Recovery required but no CD available

Boot into bios, setup to start on a cd.
Burn from another machine first:
a WinPe, BartPe, Ubuntu, Knoppix, etc. Bootable CD.
Boot with any of these and see what happened to your files.

You never even stated what OS you had.

Sounds 2 hot.
