Question about Mintek MDP-1030 Portable DVD Player

Minteck 1030 Can't get maching to charge. Doing what the manual said. And, the screen goes black.

    Excuse me, but I was expecting a solution. If its the motherboard or screen, then WHAT? I don't think I got a reasonable answer. Please reply again.

My battery does not recharge.


I think that your battery is a dud. If you have been using your portable player on ac all of the time then you have been charging your battery at the same time. You need to play the portable on the battery at least once a month or it will slowly just go bad.

Screen is blank


Check to see if the little button that the screen closes down on (which turns off the screen and only the screen) is stuck, or jammed under the little hole that it comes up.  This button is about the size of a pin on most DVD Players, and is located very close to the screen on either side.

Nothing happens when I try to play a movie


Sounds like an internal hardware issue, if you feel daring enough, try oppening the case and see if anything is out of place, otherwise, You can either take it back to the store for a refund/exchange or contact the manufacturer and tell them it is defective.  Usually if this is the case they wil;l send you a new one for free.  Good Luck ;)
