I can not get my Saitek Eclipse Keyboard to get my comp out of Stanby

I hit the key once the keyboard is in standby to pull it out and nothing happens. Everyone says there is a option under device manager to get it to get the comp out of standby but I do not see it. Can someone please help me with this?

  1. Open I can not get my Saitek Eclipse Keyboard to get my - shortcutcold.gifPower Options in Control Panel.
  2. On the Advanced tab, under When I press the power button on my computer, click Standby. If you are using a portable computer, click Standby under When I close the lid of my portable computer.
  3. Click OK or Apply, and then turn off the power or close the lid of your portable computer.

  • To open Power Options, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Power Options.
  • You can also put your computer on standby by clicking Start and then clicking Shut Down. In the What do you want the computer to do drop-down list, click Stand by.
  • You might want to save your work before putting your computer on standby. While the computer is on standby, information in computer memory is not saved on your hard disk. If there is an interruption in power, information in memory is lost.
  • To put your computer on standby, you must have a computer that is set up by the manufacturer to support this option.
  • Using Power Options in Control Panel, you can adjust any power management option that your computer's unique hardware configuration supports. Because these options may vary widely from computer to computer, the options described may differ from what you see. Power Options automatically detects what is available on your computer and shows you only the options that you can control.

On Saitek eclipse II illuminated keyboard: What is function of the 1 (above the f8), the A (aboveF9) and the down arrow between F10 and F11) Also the function of the dey on bottom row between the windows...

Hi,

The 1, A and down arrow represent the usual Num Lock active, Caps Lock active and Scroll lock on option available on all keyboards out there.

The 'dey' key on the bottom between the Windows Key and the Ctrl acts as a right mouse button, as in opening the menu you would open with the right mouse click.

Hope it helps.

Your Keyboard keys is just dirty inside ; try opening it up and cleaning it up -- the circuits and touch detection underneath they key could just be misdetecting the "`" on the left of the "1" key and "2" key

Saitek Eclipse Keyboard Keys stopped working

this could very well be your OS as much as your keyboard. Try another board for a few days and see if it still happens. IF not...you found your culprit. Replace the keyboard or look for updated drivers if they exist.

Saitek Eclipse II keys are sticking

You can remove the screws on the back and clean the keyboard. It's very easy task to do. Just remember components locations inside so you can reassemble.

Try looking here to see if any of the keys are set wrong.
Normal 0 If you are then go to Control Panel.
1. Click on PRINTERS.
2. When the Printer Properties come up, CLICK on KEY SETTINGS.
3. Then set up the keys by selecting the key to be setup.
Hope this helps. Bud

Saitek eclipse illuminated keyboard

Are the keys working?
If the keyboard is doing absoloutly nothing, then it may have drawn too much current from the USB port and shorted it out.

Try something else in the USB port and see if that is working correctly like a flash drive/mouse etc

Keyboard has a mind of its own

HAHAHA. This is old but i found out what the problem is. Hope this helps some people. All you have to do is press the illumination button at the top right of your keyboard until the keyboard backlighting is turned off and now the keyboard no longer randomly types.

Repeating key - cause unknown

No solution here, but I'd like to second that I have a Saitek 1st gen keyboard. One day it began exhibiting the same problems that you are having. When moved to another computer it seemed to work for a month or so but then started acting up again. For my keyboard, it repeats the letters "a" "s" "m" and others. Not sure what is causing it. No spills on the keyboard and it is fairly clean.
