Hi,

If you want, you can try resetting the unit or updating the firmware. The problem could be with the unit's software.

There's a VOLUME slider to increase the speaker/output volume. You can reach this option from the CHANGE PREFERENCE menu option ... or...
Tap the left or middle pane of the (Horizontal) status bar on your driving screen, and the volume slider will appear. Then slide the volume to the right, for higher volume.
If your TomTom GO device internal speaker is not work, you can consider piping the sounds (via FM) to your car speakers ..

On my psp the sound went to blank i put the sound to full and it goes down to none by itself

It maybe because the button for reducing the volume may have been pressed too hard in the past that the button had gone in so whenever you leave the volume incresing button it starts decresing by itself.

Either the volume is right down or the mute is on. The volume is generally adjusted by touchscreen-I think it is on the right hand side-cant remember if its top or bottom. If that is fully up then its muted. Look through your menu and somewhere in the settings or sounds you will see an icon of a speaker. There may or not be a red cross over it. You need to put mute off. That should restore your sound.

when you put it back together the volume selector (on the board) was all the way to the right and the volume slider (on the case) was all the way to the left which won't allow you to turn the volume up all the way. if this is not the case let me know @

Volume control
• When you have an active call or are listening to a sound, press o) or (o to
increase or decrease the volume level, respectively.
Voice volume icons:
- for earpiece mode,
- for loudspeaker mode.
Loudspeaker
Your phone has a loudspeaker for handsfree use. The loudspeaker allows you to
speak and listen to the phone from a short distance without having to hold the
phone to your ear, for example, having it on a table nearby. The loudspeaker can
be used during a call, with sound and video applications, and when viewing
multimedia messages. Sound and video applications use the loudspeaker by
default. Using the loudspeaker makes it easier to use other applications while in a
call.

Hello Smboston,
I like to help if i can. On your Tom Tom one there is whole at the bottom, this hole is to reset the Tom Tom in case of if it does not work properly. Put a pin (not a sharp one) into the hole and push it couple of times till you feel button is being pressed. That will reset the whole of your Tom Tom and try it then to see if it works fine. If it works good if not you need to check all your volume settings by going into the volume control settings. I hope it works for you. Good Luck.

Can't adjust the earphone sound

Use the side buttons to lower the master volume, when your in media mode listening to your music, you have to use the side buttons or flip it open and use the side buttons by squeezing your finger between the big screen and the keyboard, they diodnt think that part out to well.

The ear Piece volume control your talking about only pertains to when your actually on a call.

Stupid set-up i know.
