Washing machine leak

My washing machine has started to leak from underneath whenever I use it. It is not a lor of water but enough to cause a puddle so I need to sort it. Any ideas what is causing it? and is it worth repairing as it must be getting on for 7 years old now??

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. Quite possible the leak is from the point where your exit hose is inserted into the stand-pipe.

My GE washer started leaking like 2months ago underneath. A puddle of water starts to form during the spin cycle. Can u please help me!! Charlie

I fix these things, and what I would do is take this machine outside and put it up on some sort of pedestal and hook it up to run.
I traditionally use a garden hose hooked to the cold water hose, and remember, the drain hose must be as high as the back of the machine to allow the tank to fill.
Take a strong flashlight and you should see that cause of the leak.
I hope it is only a hose, and that no hole has rusted in your machine.
God bless your efforts.

My kenmore elite topload washer is leaking underneath washing machine leaving a puddle whats causing this?

depends. first and foremost, I would fill the unit up about halfway with water, with tub being empty of any clothing. Tilt the machine back where you can look underneath it real good. see if you see any leaks with it half full of water. If you don't see any leaks, put the unit back on all fours, and put it into drain/spin. After tub empties of water, tilt unit back again and check for leaks near the drain pump and hose. If you need any further assistance, look for me on 6ya

Small puddle of water underneath washer when wash cycle was completed.

That could be 1 of a couple things.

1) During the agitate cycle... some water could've made it out of tub.

2) Possible Tub Crack (or overflow line)

3) Check your inlet lines

I would run it again watching it very carefully to determine if any of these are the problem.

Puddle under 1 yr old washing machine hours after it is finished

Sounds like either the gasket on the inlet is leaking or not tight or the solenoid housing is cracked causing the leak. When its in use the pressure from the line is realased when the solenoid is opened letting water in. When not in use the solenoid stays closed allowing pressure from the line to build causing the gasket to leak. Check your gaskets, and solenoid housing for leaks and then check to make sure your water pressure is not set too high.
