DEXG1 not getting hot

Run the dryer for 2-5 minutes. Check to see if it has heat inside. If not, you have an internal problem.
If heat is generated, check your dryer lint trap. It must be clean before every dry cycle to dry properly and efficently. If the trap is clean and heat is generated, check the tubes behind the dryer for disposing of the lint.

sounds like perhaps you are losing your heating element...could be electronic, but it's most likely the actual element needs to be replaced...

Likely causes, in order of probability are:
1) Heating element has broken in two, needs replacement..
2) A "overheat shut-off thermostat" has clicked open, needing replacement.
3) A wire (likely near the heat element) may have burnt in two, need a repair.
4) A wire in the connection at the back of the machine where the electric cord is hooked up may have failed, needs repair.
5) A circuit breaker in your "fuse box" may have tripped, needs reset.
If you wish to attempt repairs yourself, you'll need tools, a testing meter, and a plea to "fixya" could cause someone to give you step-by-step instructions.

You have some blockage between lint trap and where the unit vents outside.

You will need to check all the duct work for lint buildup. This is the reason clothes won't dry or take a few cycles to dry.

Did you clean out the lint filter at the front, heat is the enemy. Clean out all lint from front, if you are handy, get around back and remove all lint and dust by blowing compressed air.

Make sure your exhaust vent is not clogged with lint. Also make sure the lint trap is clean. Good luck. -mark

If the clothes are coming out wet and hot after the first cycle then there is a blockage in the exhaust. This blockage could be at the lint trap or at the exhaust tube leaving from the back of the dryer. You need to check the lint filter area by removing the lint filter and with a flashlight look into the area where the lint filter was to see if there is any build up of lint. If so, you will need to clean this area. Also at the back of the dryer there is a hose that comes from the dryer to an outlet to the out side. This hose could be clogged with lint or possibly kinked to where the proper amount of air flow is not allowed to leave the dryer therefore causing the clothes to have to dry longer. Check these two areas first before going any further due to these checks are simple and may solve the problem.

Well if your dryer tumbles, but there is no heat then you may please check out the following -
1. First of all you can check out for proper air flow - Check the vent for proper air flow by placing your hand over the exterior vent while the dryer is running. You should feel a strong flow of air. If not then check the lint trap. It is located either on top of the dryer or possibly just inside the door. Remove any lint that has built up in the lint trap. Cleaning the lint trap should be done regularly, even as often as after every load. Do not operate the dryer without a lint trap in place.
2. Secondly you can check out the Ignitor - gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes. Post comments for further help or information.....
