I have replaced the actuator, disconnected the linkage and engaged by hand to make sure adjustment was correct, verified that the fuse is not blown and that there is power through the fuse block. I have also verified that the transfer case is engaging and the front driveshaft is spinning. I have no voltage at the actuator plug so I'm thinking it is a switch I have read about. I can't find the switch on the transfer case. I see where the wires go into the case and there is no switch from that point to the actuator itself. Is the switch inside the case and do I have to remove the case to get to it?
I have a 1994 Z71 that won't engage. I do get 12V to the actuator at the front differential. What are the chances that it's a faulty actuator before I replace it? Just curious as I'm in Hickory, NC with 9" of snow. Thanks in advance. Any other solutions???
If you haven't got 12volts at the actuator(TLA) plug, then you are probably correct from what I have researched as well.
I have found a solution to the problem that would eliminate the need for 12volt power or a TLA.

I keep blowing fuses on my 1997 GMC K1500 and think this switch may be the culprit for me as well.
