Sounds like the backlight on your laptop is bad. You did not list what kind of laptop you have, or how old it is. Some bulbs last longer than some. If your laptop is old, then I would start looking at the backlight.

Here is a website to help explain and show you how to replace the CCFL:

If your laptop is fairly new, it might be the inverter board.

How to add a 2nd monitor

Most laptops have a VGA port so an external monitor can be added. Then you might have to press a Fn key combination to get the other monitor to display.
If you want to add a second monitor to a Desktop computer, you'll need to install another graphics card. A USB adapter card is available; do a search for different models available.

If neither of these answer your question, please explain exactly what you need a monitor to display from; you posted to the Network and Wireless Adapters section, which is confusing..

My screens not working

Maybe your screen is dying, and you need to replace it. You can test your laptop using an external monitor to test the laptop's GPU. If your laptop works good with an external monitor, then you need to replace your laptop's screen.

Reset network security key

Go to one of the computers already connected. Go to the notification area (bottom right of your screen), right click on your network connection and open network and sharing center. Then click on manage wireless networks. Right click on the network you are connected to, and select properties. Select the security tab, uncheck the box that says hide characters, and it will display your password.

Try to uninstall and reinstall the video driver. Make sure you note down the make / model first! The lastest driver may fix this issue.

Problem with wired LAN connection on HP DV 6000

I am on an HP desktop at this time and there is the ability to create install cds from a recovery partition (check for menu items I believe might be in the HP folder) and to reinstall back to the factory is a ansl a menu option as well as a boot option I believe. BEWARE OF THESE RESTORE OPTIONS BECAUSE YOU MAY WELL LOSE ANY PROGRAMS AND DATA ADDED TO THE MACHINE SINCE YOU GOT IT. Always have a backup so you can retrieve your data and be prepared with your application CDs to reinstall, if necessary.

Blue screen display

Check the memory of your computer. this could cause blue screen display. Be sure to check also the cooling fan for microprocessor and video card cooling fan if it is working. Sometimes it cause blue screen and needs to re-start your computer. If you have two slot of mem that is occupied then, you can remove one and leave the other one. Be sure to power off your computer before doing this. Then turn on your computer and try to observe it. If the problem still exist then do the same with the other memory and check it again. I hope that these could help your problem.
