I havent run my car in awhile and I noticed that when I start the car and after its starts warming up it has a ticking noise when it is idoling. I figured its the lifters cause it hasnt been started all that often. The funny thing is that it only happens as the car gets warm/ You can't hear it when you first turn it on. I also noticed some water coming out of the tailpipe. Is this worst than I think it is?

If the ticking is a constant ticking, it is most likely the lifters. The lifters in these engines are hydraulic and and must pump up with the oil pressure. Once the oil warms up and become thinner, the ticking will become constant due to the lower hydraulic pressure of the thinned out oil. As far as the moisture from the exhaust, this is also normal of a vehicle that has not been started in a long time as the condensation that builds up in the exhaust system must heat up to a point where all of the moisture burns off. The longer it sits, the more moisture will build up in the system requiring longer times to burn off. If after a few days of running the moisture does not burn off then I would get it checked out by a certified mechanic.

Loud ticking noise when first staring, engine stalls sometimes when starting it unless I hold the gas pedal down

The TPS would be what I would do had that problem once myself solved the problem. as for the ticking noise sounds like a lifter is bleeding down as long as the noise goes away you will be ok. But may I suggest that if you are going to keep the vehicle for awhile longer you might want to have a set of lifters put in it.

Knock in cold start up fo 95 Ford Taurus SE

If its a ticking noise Sounds like some sticky lifters. The heads get build up on them over the years and it takes awhile for the oil to get thin (hot) enfo to lube them. The noise is them being dry.

My 99 deville d'elegance overnight starts up fine with 14.2V but as it warms up, the volts start dropping to 12.5V...when i turn off radio and AC it jumps up to about 13V. I replaced battery,...

After starting the vehicle, look at the volt (alternator) gauge while one at a time shutting the radio and A/C off. As the grounded or shorted load is removed, the voltage should restore and show on the gauge.

When the car is off i hear a ticking nosie by the the fuel tank. my guess is the fuel pump. i have a riugh ideal and los of power

well the fuel pump does not run when the key switch is OFF, however the ticking noise you are hearing would most likely be the HOT muffler after driving for awhile the exhaust heats up and expands then when the engine is shut off it starts cooling and shrinking and will tick and ping like crazy. as far as the rough idol and power loss it could be a number of things! is there any check engine lights on??

The lifters tick at start up and stop when it is warm

Yes, that means when they are ticking they havent gotten the oil to the top of the engine yet. They stop ticking cause the lubrication has reached the top of the engine, and doing its job....

First start car ticking noise after 5 minutes it

This is the tappets on the top of the engine ticking cause they havent got any oil yet. When you first start it take a few secs to get the oil to the top of the engine...It is a warning of impending trouble, but it may or may not be quite a ways off...
