Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
My wife and I want to purchase a 50" RCA projection TV at the cost of $750.00. We just want to know why they sell them so cheap and are they still being manufactured? Are there more problems with this set then what it's worth. I just don't want to make a mistake. We are purchasing from a Wal Mart store.
That is the average price for a set like this. They no longer make these types of TV sets but this does not make it a bad thing to have. In my opinion and I am sure a lot of others, these sets are more reliable then the newer flat panel sets. As a mater of fact if you do not lay out a couple of grand for a plasma tV set, you will be spending between 200 and 500 bucks within a few years at most for a new bulb for the DLP and LCD set. Make sure you purchase the extended warranty on this set. Normally I would not recommend it, but in 4 years you might have a problem getting parts for this set and they will have to compromise with you. I have heard some peeps get new sets, Good Luck.
