Printer prints blank pages

I have already checked toner and fuser but still getting blank pages?

We have 2 hp 4250 printers doing this. Intermittant blank copy. When this starts, the blank copies continue until the paper tray is empty. Seems to happen more with excell and powerpoint. Most of the time, the printers print very well. Both printers are less than a year old. This one has 18,247 page count. Firmware Version is v.28.63.ff. Any advise appreciated.

Check to make sure the photoconductor grounding spring on the left hand side of printer in the toner slide black plastic has not popped out of it's slot. Just fixed one a couple of days ago doing this.

HP laserjet 5000gn when i print, output smears ink on 2 sides. not a toner issue cause changed toners already. someone says printer is telling me something and might be a warning of

If by smearing you mean the print is also rubbing off? Then you definately have a fuser unit issue. The fusing unit is the assembly that heats up and "fuses" the toner onto the page. When these start to go bad, usually on one edge or the other the print will smear/double image/wipe off of the effected area. One test you can do to verify a fuser problem is to print a page and then when the page is about half way thru the prcess, shut the printer off. Open the top and remove the toner cartridge, pull out the page and see if the lower part is not smeared. Basically what your checking is to see if the print is ok BEFORE it goes thru the fuser. Based on your description I would suspect your fuser is going bad.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Why does my samsung scx5530fn printer constantly prints blank sheets of paper...we have turned it off/on; changed toner and it just decides to starting printing blank pages..anybody can help me i thank...

Please clean the drum and the fuser, also check the toner cartridges if there's any overflown toner powder spilled. The problem is caused when the toner waste tank in the drum is full or overflowing.
Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I'm getting ghost images on multi prints to the point it is unreadable, is this the drum or fuser?

The only way to tell is to start a print and power off when print is still inside. If you see the ghost before the fuser it's the drum, if clean before the fuser, it's the fuser. You can also open the back door and look at the fuser roller with a light, the fuser roller should be clean but if the roller has images it's time for a fuser.

Printer prints blank on paper

Open the door half way through a page print and pull out toner cartridge. The page should be in the toner cartridige. If you can see the printed image then the fuser is the problem if you see nothing then the toner is bad or has a protective sleeve inside that needs to be pulled out from one of the ends.

Ghost printing

Hi Phillip,
If you have changed the drum and toner, then check the fuser unit. The teflon coating on fuser film could be worn.

Images of previous page remains on the new printed page

It is either a bad drum in the toner cartridge or toner on the fuser. Try changing out the toner. If the problem remains, you'll have to get a new fuser module.
