LG RF 21FA20PQ SET DEAD

Probably due to a defective power supply. The power supply is repairable, but usually not worth paying a repair tech to do the job. Less expensive to purchase a working unit.

My moniter is no light(m.no 715b)

Check out the monitor power sources first like loosed A/C cords plugs in,dead plugs in outlets.Tried reset the monitor back to factory setting by unplug replug back in like an hour later.Non of these solutions works, than your monitor power supply board is dead that the board where the A/c plug into.Try website like EBay.com to buy a new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Viewsonic pc monitor model va 1912 the set is dead only voltage presents is on the filter capacitor. mplease can you help thanks

Do you get any power light at all? There are two normal failure points on that power supply board. The first is the 2 small 220uf capacitors as seen in the picture below. When these 2 capacitors fail and the tops bulge it causes the MOSfets to short out which blows the small fuse labeled F200 on the bottom of the board. When this happens the unit will show a power light on the front but no picture on the screen. The other failure point is the group of filter capacitors near the board interconnect to the driver board. Look for bulging tops on the capacitors. If you see the bulges then replace the group of capacitors and you should be good to go.

If you need the MOSfets and F200 fuse parts then they are available here:

Monitor does not turn on

The most common cause of power issues with that model is a dead power supply resulting from a failure in the capacitors on the power board. This is a very easy repair. You have to replace the 6 filter capacitors on the power supply board. The capacitors on the power supply board should be flat on the top and when they fail the tops will bulge showing failure. You can open the monitor up and look at the power supply board and check for the bad capacitors to verify the failure point. Here is a link to some information and parts kit to repair that board.

I hope this helps.

Will not switch on, no green light totally dead?

Hello,

These units are known for having issues with the internal power supply board. There are parts called capacitors that fail due to heat buildup in the monitor case. When they die the power supply stops working and you get a dead monitor just like you have. If you can solder then you should be able to repair your unit. We have a free step by step repair guide posted on our web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/dell-e172fpc-e173fpc-repair/ The repair should take less than 20 minutes to do and cost less than $15 for parts.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Dead power supply power across the bridge 700 volts across the main capacitor indicating smps is filtering

sounds like you have a dead switching suppy. On these sets the best way to trouble shoot the power suppy is disconnect the horizontsl output and measure it Is it shorted yes replace the fly and the transistor and resolder several cold joints in the horizontal drive curcuit as well as in the main switching supply. If the HOT not shorted then your gonna need a service manual unless you shotgun the repair. Good Luck
