POWER SAVING MODE while playing computer games

I've had this problem for nearly a month now and it's really bugging me because they're the top games that i really want to play.
One is warcraft 3 and the other one is Crysis
For Crysis, when I start the game and during the first cutscene sequence of the game where the plane comes near the island, my computer suddenly goes in to power saving mode
screen turns blank, and a power saving mode message appears. It always happens during that time period of the game and i couldnt find a way to fix it.
For warcraft 3 it also happens during the first cutscene of the game though it also happens while playing the game for sometime.

I've been trying to find a solution for a long time now and couldn't find one please help me I'm really desperate because my life currently is very bleak without these games. Any help would be great.

oh and the old screen is sold because it was always fuzzy when you started the computer and had to wait around 15-20 minutes until it disappered so replacing it with the old one is not an option

Nope, my dad said it might be because of the video card not being able to handle the games, it mite be too dusty or something.
i havent had a chance to check out the vid card yet because i dont know how to take it out.
it might actually be it, because this auto power saving doesnt occur when i play low graphics games

Check to see if your fan on your video card is spinning and is not clogged with dust. Almost sounds as if it is overheating and causing a reboot.

My HP W1907 monitor works fine until I try to play The Sims 3 game. I play for several minutes or hours and the monitor shows the message that it is going to sleep and the light on the monitor goes...

Hi there. I had the same problem months ago when I try to play high end games like Sims 3 my monitor goes into power saving mode. I tried to check every possible causes of the problem. It could be that your computer is overheating try to clean your computer and check if your fans still works. Second it could me your power supply malfunctioning, maybe it does not meet the required power to make your game work. Last cause is your video card malfunctioning, what I did is to just buy a new video card and it works.
If you do not have spare power supply or video card you can go to a computer repair shop for them to check the possible problem that causes it to go into power saving mode. It can also save you money before you can buy a new one.
Hope this helps, Have a good day!

I have a problem with my monitor hpw1907v

Not sure which windows you are using but on my Vista there is also a setting for power saving on the PCI Express video card. Have you tried changing that setting. Not sure if that would be the problem but worth a try. Mine is set for maximum power saving but it hasn't turned off on me except while watchng a video. I haven't played a game so don't know if it affects games. It's under advance power settings \ PCI express \ Link state power managment. Turn it to Off and see what happens.
I am guessing you are playing games with a joystick because using a mouse or keys would probably stop the computer turning off the screen. Is there a setting under your game controller preferences for power saving?
You might also have a seperate control panel that installed with your video card that lets you change settings outside of Windows. I have Nvidia Control Panel on mine you might have something else. Maybe you can change something there as well.

"Analog going into power saving mode" when I try to play a game.

Most of these kinds of problems are created by using the different version than the current version of your video card driver.

Check your video card company's website and download the specific video card driver for your devide's ID and It should resolve the proble,

Analog Power Saving Mode Problem!

Have you checked you power saving options in Control panel.
If this is a desktop, unless you are a energy miser, I would change your power saving options to never on all options, turn off hibernation and suspension for when you are playing games.
You can find this in control panel under power Options.
Let me know if this helps.
Thank you

Flatron L1953S Goes to power saving mode while playing..

I had the same problem with my LG Flatron (not the same model as your one). I fixed it by connecting both the digital and analogue cables from the pc. Presumably, the problem occurs because the monitor is not receiving a digital signal.

I had a similar problem with an LG monitor that I resolved by connecting the analogue cable as well as the digital cable from the pc. This problem must be caused by the monitor not receiving a digital signal.
