Have GE washer (model WBSE2090A0WW) with bad controller assembly. The new part (GEH part no WH12X10176) is different than the old part in that it has an extra circuit board on it that extends out another 7 inches and has two more places for knobs. GE assures me it is the right part. It also comes with two rubber caps and springs. What are these for?
Hi. I was also searching for the same part and got the same result; nooo, the unit is smaller and only has spots for two knobs not four.
have you looked at this site? https://www.geapplianceparts.com/GEApplianceParts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=PARTSRESULTS&AppliancePart=Washers and Dryers_Miscellaneous .... if that link doesn't work try this and navigate thru it.
There is a guy who lives down the street from me who owns an electronics repair shop; I will be taking my control assembly to him. I'll let you know what he says. On my circuit board, there is a "brown" solder joint; all others are the normal silver color. Hopefully the guy can fix the component that hooks up to the solder connection (it's a relay).
I've been having trouble w my washer (same model as yours) for a couple months ~ I've troubleshooted everything!!!
Hopefully we don't have to end up buying new washers!! take care. (I'll let you know what my neighbor says, too ... thx)
I'm sorry, I forgot to post the link to the GE parts site. https://www.geapplianceparts.com/
