When it build up ice in the freezer the cold air can't go through to the fridge , this could be because : the fan doesn't work. the unit is low in refrigerant or the defrost timer or heater are bad , if the fan works take off the back pannel inside the freezer and if is only cover with ice part of it and the rest of the coil is clear of ice ,it means that is low on refrigerant (it is a seal system so there's a leak and has to be repair and recharged with freon), but if the coil is all cover with ice the problem is with the defrost system(timer or heaters) you can check the heaters for continuity if open replaced it if ok replace the timer.

At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig . If the line is frozen in the door , pt # WR49X10173 , is the dispensor water line heater , which comes with installation instructions .

I think you will need to unplug the pin plug under the cover at top or bottom hinge. Check the voltage and if OK leave unplugged until you can remove the dispenser and I will try to help you from the power source. Sounds like a short in the board and related to the light socket. The fuse only stopped the short from doing further damage, You may need to locate the short before replacing the fuse or board. I have looked over the wiring diagram. If you find the short without my help just be sure to replace the fuse with the correct size. The only things are the chute heater or something in that area of the board went to ground. Do you have a voltage meter? Contact me later when ready, Sea Breeze

might be your compressor relay gone bad. if the condenser fan was running and no compressor that could be the case. Also could be a bad compressor. you could try installing a 3in1 start kit. cost about $30. if doesn't start with that then compressor is kaput.
