Question about Samsung HCM422W 42" Rear Projection Television
It sounds like you have a bad capacitor in your power supply, thats why it keeps shutting down, and it allows ppppower to leak through and cause the line on the picture need to take it to a repairman that will replace the bad component on the power supply board. this is a common problem for that brand of TV projection, ifr you dont fix it soon it will go out and most likely take the video out with it causing a more expensive repair.

Clearly your TV is shutting down due to a problem. Based on your description, it's hard to tell if you have a vertical or convergence failure. What do you mean by "waving" line ?
