Re: i need help
Make sure you have media player 11 If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this. Download recovery tool off creative's website. go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix If that doesn't fix it trythe USB cable
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It could be a problem with the cable. Are you using the same cable you have all along? One of my players works perfectly well on one cable, bit not on another, although that cable works perfectly on another player. Also, the cable may be faulty, and not making a data connection, though still charging. Try a new cable.
It is not compatible. I had the same receiver and mp3 player. according to the Clarion website, an "ERROR 5" is the message for a compatibility problem. You probably got an "ERROR 2"(format problem) when you had the player plugged in and then cycled through the sources(that's how I received the error).
I have since bought an Ipod and the USB input works just fine. Clarion says the deck is MTP compatible, but it will not run a lot of MTP devices. Only Ipods and certain memory sticks. The Creative Zen Vision M is read as an MTP device when it it plugged into anything like a computer, Xbox 360, and the Clarion USB receivers. The Clarion units even attempt to read it as an MPT device, but will not play. It is not an issue with the receiver or the MP3 files. The Creative Vision M is not a compatible device, sorry.
I have a usb cable that came with it ( or some other mp3 player i bought), but it is way too short, so i bought a cheap ($1) and longer usb cable. The computer recognizes the mp3 when connected, but it wont charge with the long and cheap cable.
Maybe you also have a long (or short) cheap usb cable...or maybe your usb cable is plain broke...
How to make Creative vision m, find the computer. Connect your creative with U. S. B. cable. Go to my computer, click on right button on mouse go to properties, click on hardware tab, click on device manager button , scrawled to creative logo press on right button on mouse and press on update drives. This worked for me on both of my computers now I can charge my creative and transfer of the files to it with no problems. Good luck.
I am guessing there is a problem with the driver for the audio player. I have a Coby Audio Player MP-C827, and one day my brother decided to just remove it from the computer without correctly stopping it. Ever since, whenever I plug in it into my PC, it just does not open...nothing happens. And I don't have the cd to re-install the driver files. With respect to all of the above, a driver file which is needed by the mp3 is either damaged or corrupt. Contact me at email@example.com
