Recording Error E 6 28030200 how can I get the information off the DVD or how can I finalize the DVD for our church use

I was able to get data off a disc with a similar problem using Nero Burning Rom's Save Tracks feature. If I save it as an .ISO file I was able to rename the file to have the .VOB extension instead and play it using windows media player. I did run into a problem that Nero would run into a read error near the end of the track, report an error and DELETE THE FILE IT WAS WRITING. In order to get around this, when nero was almost done reading the track, I killed the nero.exe process using the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del). Now I can at least view most of the video.

I just burn a writeable cd from my desktop pc using windowa movie maker. I can play it back on my pc no problem but when I insert it into my dvd player it reads no supported files found.windows used high...

Computers use video files such as AVI, WMV, MPG etc.

DVD players use VOB video files, and will not recognise the computer video files.

Unfortunately, Windows Moive Maker cannot create VOB files - you will need another piece of software to convert the WMV file Windows Movie Maker creates to a VOB.

A lot of disc burning programs (e.g. Nero) include video converters. See if you've already got one on you computer.

If not, try Googling 'WMV to VOB'. There's quite a few free ones out there.

Hope this helps,

Matt

it depends on what exactly want to do with the files...if you just want to store them and use them into computer for future watching and managing ...Nero can do that ..but you have to choose to make Data dvd ...it will not be playable in classic dvd players...but it will play in most computers..with the right codecs on ...
also ..if the files came out in Vob format ...(I assumed that cause you said nero do not sow the files..) there are VOB to..avi converters on the net ...downloads for free..
but ..from what I understood ...tis camera is capable to export Mpeg 4 file format ...this is readable in most dvx players...and all computers with a player and a dvx codec....and also can be converted in dvd clasic format even with nero...if you choose to make dvd ...ad mpeg 4 files ...and have patience ..cause it is taking time ...
anyway ...if you want to make a classic dvd format ..playable in all dvd ...(video -ts files...) you need this kinda program

use it to make (convert the files in dvd format ..than use nero to burn dvd...

Dvd copy

Yaa ;
In your DVD you shoud have some Filse like:
VST_01_01.VOB
VST_01_02.VOB

OR with any file name having VOB extention. Actually thats the file where your DVD videos are stord.

try to copy these files to your computer in any new folder.
then use the NERO to burn these files to your DVD.

Thanks

Converting .DAT files to DVD Files

I guess that this file is from a VCD? If you just burn that file onto a CD as a data CD it should play in your DVD player. The AVSEQ01.dat file is already a (S)VCD file. It is in MPEG format and should be playable on a DVD player as is. Alternatively you can import the file you want to burn into nero vision. Once it is imported then choose to export the file as an MPEG file or burn direct to DVD. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

Saving in DVD format

The DVD format is VOB. In the Windows Movie Maker you can save movies as DV-AVI, but in order to burn them onto a DVD disc you should convert them into VOB files using burning software (for example- Nero).
