Blank karaoke machine

The words on my karaoke machine will not show up. The screen stays blank, although the karaoke CDs will play.

The screen lights up and I get static lines, but no words at all.

Is the screen totally dark, or does it light up, but the graphics just do not appear?

MasterTry looking on the back of the machine for vertical and or horizontal hold controls (marked V-Hold and H-Hold) and try adjusting them, especially the horizontal hold.
If that doesn't help, then the next troubleshooting step would be if the machine has a video output you could try connecting to a TV/Monitor and see if the graphics appear there.
