Hello, my name is Lawrence K. I bought a Skil rail & stile router bit set.My question to anyone who may be familiar with this product is do you separate the rail & stile bit to do each...

If you are referring to the 91704 set, the bit remains together and you raise or lower it to make the various cuts.

not exactly the same, but this article I wrote for Woodworker's Journal in 2009 should help:

How do I known if the front frame rails are bent

The checking of the frame rails for accident damage can be done easily. First place the vehicle over a flat clean cement floor. Select points on the frame rails such as front ends---suspension points---brackets attached to the rails on both sides and rear ends of rail. Make sure the points selected have a corresponding point on the other rail. Using a plumb bob drop the selected point to the floor and make a cross on the floor at that point. . Repeat the process for each selected point. The more points the easier to find where the rails are bent and by how much. Move the car out of the way and using a tape measure the distance diagonally between same points.-- EI-- from left hand front end to right hand rear end. Repeat the measuring from the opposite corners By measuring from one point on one side to the second point on the other side you will develop a continually crossing pattern of measurements. So in the end if you selected 4 points per side you will have 3 sets diagonal measurements on the floor or more . As you measure write the dimension on the floor. Now if there is a difference of more than 1/4 "(6mm)between any set of diagonals you will see if the rails are bent and if they are bent right or left or bowed in the middle. By measuring the heights of the corresponding points and recording them you will see if the rails are bent up or down. I understand it is a bit long winded but you will be in effect transposing the measurements of the points of the rails onto the floor so that the differences can be measured without the problems of items interfering with straight line distances.

How should I clean my air hockey table?

The best way to clean the surface of your table is with isopropyl alcohol and paper towel. Either spray it on the table surface with a spray bottle, or cover most of the bottle's mouth with your thumb and shake a little bit of it on the table at a time, so as not to use too much at once. Dry it off immediately with the towels, so that the alcohol doesn't soak up into the table surface. There is on important thing you have to remember, do not clean the inside of the table rails! The dirt and grime on the inside of the rails actually helps keep the puck from flying off the table.

Canon MP600 printer not printing correctly

The cleaning sponges are on a spingy pad, which can get stuck because of the old ink get a bit gunky. This can cause error 5101.
Try this...
Open the bonnet, use a torch, gently tug the ink carriage to the left of the rails.
Clear any paper jammed in the right of the ink carriage.
Lightly press the cleaning sponges down, (I used a long pen)
Restart the printer.

We have a panasonic tv, model pt-60lc13, bought new in 2003. we use it less than 1 hr per day (last year we watched 2 movies). today, I turned the tv on, the green power light would blink slowly for...

This sounds like a power supply problem, or a vertical issue. The Panasonic sets are one of the best tv's out there and generally worth fixing, but it will need a tv technician to resolve the issues.

My Lexmark 5600 printer will not print without going over boarder. I have set the printer preferences on both borderless and non borderless and this still doesn't help. The letters either run off the side...

Check the head carrier whether it runs both ends or not if it does not run up to the end area then there may be some obstacles inside the rail or shaft of the printer .Try to clean the head and carrier's rail so that it can run both the ends . I think it will print as per your need.

CD ''SKIPS'' on one player while it plays fine on another. Why does it SKIP?

Simply put it's the quality of the players. This could even be that one has a bit of dust on the read head or laser and the other is clean. Try some canned air (available at most office supply stores) to blow out any dust and debris. As for the cd, most people believe a cd must be nice and shiny or it will not work. This is incorrect. Most devices used to buff out scratches on cd's will leave a dull finish. Try some plastic polishing paste. Polish in a straight line from the center to the outer edge, working your way around.
Hope this helps.

Life Like train hesitates and stops altogether.

It sounds like you have eliminated the motor as the problem. Try cleaning all of the electrical contacts including the connections between rail sections and the hot rail with fine steel wool (make sure you clean up all of the remaining steel wool bits since they are conductive). If that doesn't work, look at the transformer output.

On reaching track 10 to 12 on any cd playing on my Teca cd player it continually jumps tracks back and forward.

Hi derek55

Your unit will need a clean and service. The laser moves backwards and forwards on on 2 rails. These rails are notorious for the grease drying out and impeding the traverse of the mechanism. the solution is to strip the unit, remove the rails and clean them, reinsert with new graphite grease to prevent the problem reoccurring. In some cases it may be a faulty interconnect loom to the laser assembly, and in even fewer cases it may be a faulty spindle motor whose bearing tolerances have passed what the transport can cope with. Whilst in there, clean the laser lens with a cotton bud moistened with windex glass cleaner, then polish off any smears or residue left behind.
