Mechanical Fuel Pump leak

Guys, the OP said "mecanical fuel pump", not power steering or watter pump!..

The first time may have been normal fuel pump diaphragm wear... and the second fuel pump may not be the correct part for the engine... the pump lever is a different size for different applications.. if you got the wrong fuel pump the pump lever coud have been of the inappropriate size and may have caused excessive fuel pressure or to long diaphragm travel rupturing it. Make sure that you get the exact fuel pump for your car before you pay for it. Otherwise if the fuel pump you bought was the correct part, it may have been deffective.

Whirlpool LHW0050PQ4 Solenoid Failure? Problem started yesterday after 4 years of dependable usage. After a load was completed and the "Done" light on, I opened the (unlocked) door and...

the water control is by a diaphragm that is controlled by a solenoid
when the solenoid is activated , a small needle unblocks a hole and the diaphragm opens to allow flow
when the water is shut off the needle blocks the hole and the incoming water closes the diaphragm off so stopping flow.
sand will affect that operation so new valves ($20.00 approx ) will fix that problem or maybe just pulling the diaphragm section off and cleaning it out
next the filters in the inlet hoses are under the rubber washers so pull the washer out and the filter will come out
next if you have a mains supply problem, the answer is to fit a big blue filter ( 4" X 20" ) paper element filter to the house supply line
that will filter out any dirt and rubbish down to 10 microns and if you go a carbon filter down to around 3 microns ( around hair thickness size)plus and taste
as for the water in the tub problem , you may have to get a technician in as that would be the program not shutting of the inlet water while spinning or a pump not operating correctly ---blocked inlet or inlet filter

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

This part is bypassing water when the valve is supposed to be closed.

It consists of a plastic body, A moving spring loaded needle with a rubber tip that mates to a rubber diaphragm. When they start bypassing water when not energized there is either debris in diaphragm where the rubber tipped needle mates or the diaphragm has a hole in it. These valves are NOT repairable.

When energized the solenoid magnetically lifts the rubber tipped needle off of the diaphragm. A spring forces the needle back into the diaphragm seat when the solenoid is de-energized.

If your machine has 2 of these before troubleshoot by turning the water supply off at the wall ONE hose at a time and see if the water stops seeping into the machine. Which ever hose being turned off results in the water seepage problem stopping will be the bad inlet water valve.

Dishwasher keeps filling with water at the end of the drying cycle even if you turn it off.

You have a faulty water inlet valve. Switch the water off at the valve and pull the machine out. Then tip the machine on its side and if you can remove the bottom panel. If the bottom doesn't come off then you can access the valve from the back. Unscrew the water pipe and remove th pipe that goes from the valve to the machine, then remove the 2 screws that hold the valve in place and take it to a spares place to get a new 1 or go online and use your make and model to order a new 1 and reverse the process. hope this helps.

My ge dishwasher will ffill up when its not turned on i have to turn off the water at the valve under the sink if not it will overflow

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. This is caused by a defective inlet water valve that is bypassing water past the internal diaphragm seat either due to debris or a failed diaphragm. You can try and clean the inlet water valve out but usually unless it is debris blocking the diaphragm needle hole and not allowing the internal needle to seat. Without an exact model number I can not provide you with replacement part information. (Geographic location also please so you don't get parts information from another continent.) If your dishwasher is over 5 years old I recommend that you not even bother trying to repair the old inlet water valve. I do recommend that you replace it.

Water leaks from front of machine

dealng with a leak of this nature, it could be anything from a tear in the door boot (rubber peice between door and tub), a pin hole in the water pump or hoses, or a bad tub seal. Ideally you need to take the top off of the machine and run it to determine where exactly the water is coming from. One other thing to check, if you are using a detergent that suds up too much, a front load washing machine will leak around the door seal... they are designed for non-sudsing detergent.

Water leak right side kickpanel when it rains water runs down right side kick panel runs through door tray.

check seals around the door and the body where door closes, also check where windshield ends and firewall starts, could be small leak around any hoses or lines that go thru firewall, such as heater hoses and screw holes where parts are attached

Water keeps filling up under passenger seat in rear of car

My 2001 passat did the same thing. my leak was coming from the door panel. Open your door and use a water hose to simulate rain water running against your window. Water should run into door and drain out of several drain holes at the very bottom of your door. Check for water leaking from the bottom of your plastic door panel. The water runs down into the door and leaks through your inner door panel seal causing water to leak inside from the bottom of your door panel and run into the floorboard instead of draining out the water hole in the bottom of your door.

Water is leaking from the front load door.

First check the grey rubber seal for any cracks and/or holes at the bottom side. If there is any you migtht be able to turn the seal by 180 degrees to stop the leak, otherwise replace the rubber seal
Give me exact model if you need more detail how to do it.
