First thing to do is to re-configure the wireless router that you have. Change the name and wireless password. After that, re-install the Wireless adapter on your desktop. Make sure that you will clean all the files installed on your system. Then test if other wireless device can connect to it.
click start right click on computer or my computer then click manage . click on device manager in the top right window a list of devices will open in the top right window goto network controllers and click the + to the left of network controllers right click on your belkin card and click properties.click on power management and where it says allow the computer to turn off this device untick it
There are a number of locations from which you can download the drivers, even though the belkin site is not available these days. I can probably supply the Win XP version of the drivers by email if needed. Let me know, and I'll put something together. Hope this helps.
well i think obviously the network card is damaged and causing the pc to stop when checking the pci slot that the card is in.
Return to the supplier as the card should light up orange or green when operating normally, and under warranty if Os has a 12 month warranty period.
Assuming you haven't had a power surge, they should replace the card.
Hi, your message is kinda garbled up lol.
But if your Laptop is getting connected and has like 2 bars + in signal and it says you are connected it could be a few things the WEP security code you used could be wrong or you didnt put it in capitals & lowercase, as if its not exact will say connected but not let you browse, other thing it could be you need to go into internet explorer you will get page not displayed, press tools, internet options under security you need to click each picture then press default level and do it for each one then click apply then ok.
then give it a try..
All the best
