Question about Samsung LN-S4051D 40 in. LCD Television

Samsung 40" 1080P power flux

My 40" Samsung screen goes through the motion of power cycling down but then recovers. The power light never goes out, but the screen goes completely black. It will do this once every 20 to 30 minutes. Power strip appears to be in good condition. TV is 13 months old. Thanks

Samsung 46" LED - Screen goes to black every 15 sec and then comes back shortly. Do I need to replace tcon or main or is there something else possibly wrong?

Hi Todd,
Screen goes black means back lights go off. The power supply may not be responsible for this problem. Please check back light on command from main board. Good luck.

Samsung front loading dryer the display shows rotating circle rather than time remaining

Rotating blinking lights in the display is probably an indication that the Wrinkle Prevent option has been selected. Wrinkle Prevent will continue to tumble the dryer without heat after the cycle has ended to help prevent wrinkles from setting in. When this option is selected by pressing the Wrinkle Prevent button on the control panel, the display will count down the estimated cycle time; when the cycle ends, the display will show lights blinking in a circular (or actually rectangular) motion.

To deactivate, simply press the Wrinkle Prevent button again so the light is not illuminated.

When the system is turned on the power light goes green for a second or two and then beeps and goes red.

You can fix it yourself. The CPU was to hot and the solder has come off. Bad part is the solder is under the CPU and must be heated up. It is lead free so it needs more heat then lead and you need to add flux. I would start by getting the board out. Remove the thermal paste off the CPU. Add flux with a flux pen. You want to get the flux under the CPU so you might want to tip it on its side. After you have a good amount of flux under the CPU you want to start to heat the parts around the CPU. I would use a heat gun with temp. settings. You first want to heat around the CPU to keep solder on the other parts from cracking. You dont want to over heat the parts. After you preheat the board you want to heat the CPU. It needs to be around 400 or 500 degs f. a good 15 or 30 sec. keep moving the heat gun. After heating the CPU you want to start the cool down. Same as warming up the board but you want the board to cool down slow. After all this you want to add New thermal paste to the CPU. This helps transfer from the CPU. This is a must because your PS3 is overheating as it is. After you do all this some people say it only works for 2 to 6 weeks. Its all on how you find the board and how good of a job you did. I would back up your hard drive. Then hope for the best!! good luck and i hope this helps you out.

Turn on power light goes back to red and doesnt work

Yellow light of death. You need to tear your machine down to the motherboard and flux the board and reflow it.

I have a samsung syncmaster 943NW which goes on for about 5 seconds and then just goes black. When restarting the screen it does the same again, goes on for about 5 seconds and then black. Is there...

I had the same problem with this monitor (Samsung 943nw)
When turned on it would only stay on for less then a full second.
When shining a light on the screen I could see what was on it, so it was just the backlight that was shutting down.

After I turned down the brightness of the monitor, the next time I powered on the screen the backlight stayed lit and it was back to normal.
