That is a good question...what to call them...perhaps adjustable baffles? Anyway...have you removed the air conditioner from its housing? Most window air conditioners can be removed from the housing through the front opening. With the air conditioner removed...it may be possible to apply the screws from the inside of the air conditioner housing to attach the baffles to the outside. I may be able to give better advice if you can tell me the manufacturer and model number of the air conditioner.
Good luck... and I hope this is helpful!!

Hair window air comditioner is making funny noises

Hello, the noises you are hearing can be a few differant things. It could be the condensate being pcked up and splased on the condenser which makes a swishing sound, this is normal. It could be the fan blade hittting the shroud and that happens when the fan gets loose on the shaft. It also could be the compressor itself if liquid refrigerant is entering the compressor,

My amcor is leaking water!

Please be a little more specific because Air Comditioners do in fact collect moisture from the air. This water collects in the drain pan and drained ouined off outside. If the leak is inside, the unit is not tilted to direct the water towards the drain hole.or the drin itself is plugged .Check and let me know if the problem still exists. :-) Ned

Water dripping inside window opening

I would make sure the 'drain hole' is clear and not stopped up. Sounds like it could be stopped up and you have so much water in the unit it's over-flowing and coming out inside the window.

hope this helps.

p.s. one other thing - you might need to put another hole in the unit (to allow better draining). Typically these units just drip water outside and putting (with a drill) another hole in the bottom of the unit to allow better draining is easily done.

By the book no, However production is another thing, reality is, very few new homes are ever evacuated, if at all they are purged with refrigerant a bit, If me I would do it, if unable , purge a bit.

Possibly your compressor overload is bad. A cheap and easy to replace part mounted on top of the compressor.

My sumsung air conditioning window unit its frozen like a block of ice. what do i do?

Check if the air filter and evaporator coil if clean, check also the blower is operating. If every thing is "ok" then maybe your unit is under charge you need a qualified technician for this problem.
