I'm having the same problem with my oven as well. The fan turns on as it pre-heats and will not turn off until it cools down. What's the matter and how do we fix the problem?

You dont fix it its working fine, the fan comes on at a predetermined temp and doesnt shut off unit l cools to a certain temp as well , its to protect electrical components from overheating. every new stove does it has to happen!!

Oven shuts off while baking and will not restart till oven cools off??? thanks mark

Good Afternoon Mark,

I see that you're having trouble with your Frigidaire range, model# PLCS389DC, shutting off in mid-baking, and will not restart until the oven has cooled. It sounds like it is either the temperature sensor, that is sensing a runaway oven temperature, or the control board itself that might need replacing. I suggest contacting you local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to determine what exactly is causing your oven to cut off in mid-baking.

-Best Regards-

Fes367dsa fan runs while baking but it is not a convection oven

Chris Lindstrom,

I understand that you have a fan running while you are baking. This is a totally normal function of your applliance. A cooling fan may automatically turn on and off to cool internal parts. It is normal, and the fan may continue to run even after oven is turned off.

Oven won't heat.

Good Afternoon Gwen - Try reprogramming the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. If issue persists, then the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with a wiring failure, EOC (electronic oven control), sensor probe and/or faulty bake or broil element. I would strongly recommend consulting a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.

The oven preheats, but then "cools down" before I

Most likely the problem is your bake element. When the oven is preheating it uses both the bake and the broil element. When it's done preheating it uses only the bake element, so the broil element is heating it up, and since the bake element is not working the temperature drops until it starts preheating again.

Need directions to clean my tappan oven

1. Add baking soda to a cool oven. Sprinkle a thick layer of baking soda onto the bottom of the oven. Make sure the oven is completely cool before you attempt to do this. 2. Spray the baking soda with water. Using a spray bottle, spray the baking soda down until it is damp, not saturated. The water and baking soda together will help break down the food particles. 3. Continue spraying baking soda as it dries out. Every few hours spray the baking soda down again to keep it moist. Continue this process over several hours, spraying water as the baking soda begins to dry out. 4. Scrape out the baking soda. Scrape the baking soda out of the oven. Food residue will be scraped out with the baking soda. 5. Rinse the bottom of the oven out thoroughly. Yes, you'll still have to rinse out the oven, but next time you cook your food won't have an added taste of oven cleaner.

If I had the rest of your model number I may find what Tappan now Fridgedaire Electrolux reccomends, but this is the least toxic. Have a great day..

Oven throws a E0 F3 error code

Most likely the temperature probe. My fan continued to run until I disconnected my temperature probe. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the probe in place and pull on it until the plastic connector male/female comes through the hole in the back of the oven. Disconnect the connector being careful not to let the female fitting slip back into the hole. Once I disconnected the temperature probe the fan stopped running. I believe a new temp probe/sensor will correct the F3 E0 error and correct my Bake function. The oven wouldn't preheat or turn on. The Broil and Clean functions worked but not the Bake function.

Whirlpool Wall Oven sometimes power fails in middle of a baking session. Display goes blank and oven will not work for 10-20 minutes. Then oven will come back on with a PF readout.

Could be several things; 1. Electrical connections in oven are loose. 2.The circuit breaker for the oven could be failing. 3. The electronic control is failing. Make sure when oven is operating, the cooling fan is operating. If the cooling fan is not working, the electronic control will overheat and shut down.
