It does not require the inner pair to function unless it is an analog phone. It uses the out pair of wire or the black yellow if you are using phone cables. To make sure hook up both sets of wires and make sure you cord form the wall to the jack as 4 wires also.

Uniden troubleshooting

was the old phone connected to a Private Automatic Branch Exchange P.A.B.X like for example a comander system if so the new phone would have to be a PABX type phone extention type. I suspect the Uniden phone is not compatible with the PABX extension socket.

I do not know what phone system you are using you might want to find out the model number of your PBX device and research if it uses VOIP = I can only guess that this is the situation

Hi Gooday! Im a Panasonic pabx technician...i had a problem with our current project pabx system the CO card or trunkCard always hung and all line always busy...whst is the posible problem of my...

Two possibilities. The C.O. is not sending a disconnect or the timing needs to be set. It's a C.O. trunk time you adjust first and if that doesn't work, call the telco. We have hardware to simulate disconnect supervision if the phone company (or PBX extension like a Panasonic) can't provide it. We have to use them on elevator extensions.

Wont hook to a second wireless phone

Was it supposed to? A 7630 XDP only works if there is hardware behind it. That means the first 4 ports only of a TDA-15/30/50 or a combo card the 8-port card in a TDA-100 or greater. The DXDP only feeds a comparable 76xx digital phone.

You are asking for some very advanced setup features, as far as connecting them you need the IPGateway cards. They are cat5 cards that will do the trick. However programming the setup to do what you want will be VERY time consuming and not to easy to walk someone through. On-site tech is highly recommended for that much programming and work.

Switchboard PABX purchase

If you need 8x30, you start with a minimum of TDA-100. It grows to 96 ports and you would start with 8 lines and 32 digital ports.
Your phones become KXT-7633's, not the 7731's. On this side of the pond, it costs about $20 more per phone, but you gain the use of 12 extra buttons, 3 line display, and more features.

Your Panasonic TDA/TDE dealer can guide you.

Each PABX or telephone system needs its own driver as each system has its own output format for the SMDR port. Therefore the MonTel system must have a suitable driver (technically a receiver) for each type of PABX that it can support.
