Question about Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2 (0818313003065) Motherboard
Did you allow Windows to update your drivers? In many cases Microsoft's hardware drivers are barely adequate, and most of the time cause problems. If this is the case try rolling back your drivers to the original ones from the CD that came with the mobo, and that may resolve your problem.
I am assuming that the audio did work properly originally. If this is not the case and the problem has always been there, there might be a problem with the motherboard itself.
