I think you Need to replace your STK ICs they will have Part number on them example STK392-020s you have 2 of then, you can just replace the whole Deflection board it has them on it!
I have been doing TV repair for 32yrs, If I had a Dollar for every TV I have ever Fixed Id been Very Rich! Been doing TV repair since I was 19yrs old,its what I do Best! Pull the back off of your TV you will see 3 TUBEs Red, Green and Blue.Plus I have my own TV Repair Shop!
Encompass has the power/deflection board for 107.44 Part # BP94-00369A and the convergence amp board they did have for $59.59 part# AA95-02002A, But if you just have a power problem then it will be the deflection board. Also convergence ICs they do turn the TV off and on .You see most people think they only control convergence they do alot more then just that! theirs also 2 resistors that go bad in that circuit 2.7 ohms 1 watt
Your Picture Tubes are Fine ,problem is you have no Power/high voltage order the power/deflection board from Encompass Parts I gave you the Board/Part number Call Them monday they had 1 in stock for $107.00 .Just wondering can you read a voltsohm meter and solder, and are you trying to fix TV yourself?

Thanks ladywinn,
They are closed for the holiday. Do you know if they have a website?
The TV is giving 3 flashes as the error code. I called the service center and they said that means it needs a new lamp. They didnt say anything about the tubes. Where did you find that information about the tubes?
Thanks for your help, I realy appreciate it.
Hey again. I found the website. What I meant was where are you getting info about the tv, how do you know it has tubes not a bulb and that it needs new ICs? I am having a very hard time finding technical info about it. please email me at [email protected]
Cool, thanks for sharing your experience with me. You seem to know a lot more than the service center. They seem to think the TV has a lamp.
So would the tubes going prevent the tv from turning on? I know it gets power because it clicks a few times and the timer light flashes 3 times then just stays on. So, should I just get the tubes or do you think I should replace the boards right away?
Thanks again.
It looks like three large circuit boards and 3 smaller ones above them. IS there a way I could send you the photos? I dont mind soldering minor things but this is a bit out of my range of expertise.
Close, they say STK392-040. It looks like I would have to take the CB out to get at them though.

So if I change the power/deflection board does that include new ICs or is that the next step if the board does not do the trick?
So as it turns out, the problem was that the Green Colour Tube was leaking cooling fluid onto the circuit board below. I noticed it when I took a closer look at the ICs. I dried to board off as best I could without removing it and it worked like a charm, for a few days anyway. I can see the source of the leak and am going to try to apply some epoxy to stop it. Can you recommend any particular type that is good for electronic repair?
