Question about Zebra Printer 140-751-00000
Zebra 140xiII printer getting "error head open"...we have reinstalled the ribbon and paper, cleaned the paper path and laser eye, but still getting "head open error" when the lever is definitely down in the correct position.
If you open the case there is a sensor that detects whether the head is opened or not that is connected to the open and close lever. Sometimes the tab that blocks the sensor when it is closed get out of alignment or comes loose or the sensor is jarred loose. Make sure the tab breaks the beam.

On the left-hand-side where the controller board is, check the rubber tab is slotting through the sensor when the printer head is closed. located near the top pulley; for ribbon and label feeder.
