-   Take a baseball bat and lightly tap the top of printer. Increase force of each tap till the printer is separated into small parts. Locate the ink waste absorber and the nearest Cannon specialist. Once specialist is located. Take the ink waste absorber and apply it to the cranial area till the absorber is cleared. Dispose of absorber and all related printer accessories in the proper trash disposal unit. After old printer is disposed of. Go get another one wait two to three years and repeat same process.-   Guest

-   Reset the iP1500 this way:
Unplug power.
Press and hold Power button.
Plug in power.
Release button.
Wait a few seconds, press power button again to bring the printer back online.
Please research the cleaning of the absorber pads because the ink will spill out eventually. DO NOT turn the printer upside down!-   Gcat122
