The cheapest solution is to use a stepdown transformer - they cost about $15. You can also source a replacement internal transformer for about $70 from semenedis in the UK or others worldwide.

Will a Packard bell i media desktop run on united states power ?or is it strictly designed to run on European power ?

Here in the US, and with more than 20 years experience as a computer tech I would venture to answer that almost any computer should work almost anywhere in the world.
You only need to look at the input voltage and make certain the power supply is set to match the line voltage supplied where you are. Standard electricity in Europe is 115v or 220v @ 50hz and in the US it is 115v (almost universally) or 220v (rarely) @ 60hz. The biggest difference is the ac frequency used but for computer power supplies that is immaterial.
A computer power supply converts the ac input power to regulated and filtered 3.3v, 5v, and 12v dc so the ac frequency does not have any affect on the filtered dc output that actually operates the computer. Almost all power supplies have a voltage selector switch near the power cord plug on the back of the computer to choose 115v or 220v. Newer power supplies are designed to be auto selecting on input voltage so even that manual selection is no longer required.

You likely will need a different power cord since the shape of the prongs on power outlets in Europe is always different than here in the US. If I remember correctly from my time in Europe that even varies by country there.

As long as you keep in mind the possible different voltages and the different prong shape and arrangements for the ac power source your packard bell computer should work well here in the US.

Absolute worst case scenario would be that if the power supply already installed in your PC is extremely low quality and was designed to use only one input voltage then it is possible you may need to replace the power supply with one that is designed to be used anywhere.

My th 132 AF has nothing on the screen but has a 240 supply to it what could be wrong

http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/TH132-A-F-AF-230-thermostat.pdf
Check that breaker is not tripped on one leg
Unit is rated 230 Volt 50 Hz / apparently with hot and Neutral for European power supply
US is 240 Volt 60 Hz
Uncertain if that matters
Check wiring
The product manual does not show batteries, reset, or troubleshoot

Can tv th-50px60u work ac power supply 220v

Not really. You can buy a transformer in European countries to allow US products to work, but you would not be able to receive European broadcasts. A set top box would be required for watching broadcast material, preferably one that uses one of the HDMI ports. Convert US 220V to European 220V

all you need to do is to purchase a power converter also known as transformer that converts the European 220v to110 v, so that American appliances will operate on European current.

Noncompatable power system

you can have it changed but the power supply that converts AC to DC is inside the unit. You have to open it up and may void your warranty. You will also have to use the power supply rated for your device. I would suggest to get a transformer. Some voltage regulator have transformers built in them which you can check out.

Power cable problem for SHARP AQUOS TV 42 inch

The voltage rating of the cable is not a problem. For all home appliances, including TV sets, the voltage rating of the power cable is supposed to be up in the 600 Volt to 1000 Volt range depending on the particular manufacture of the cable. This is not an issue. I have never seen a home appliance that could handle more than 240 VAC.

As for the Amperage rating of cable, it is more than adequate for the appliance that the cable is sold for. The 220 Volt appliances use about 1/2 the amperage that their equivelent 120 Volt appliances use. This is because the wattage for the power consumption is normaly constant.

The power cable is not a factor here. If the power supply in the TV can take the 220 VAC, and the 50 Hz power line frequency then there are no problems from that point.

Different HZs problem (from 60Hz to 50Hz)

Hi,

Yes there are frequency converters available but most are relatively over rated (industrial) for your requirement such as MDS Power or VisiComm Industries. What you need is a Low Power Solid State Frequency Converters lower than a
Electrocon Frequency Converters. However, I expect this devices to be rather expensive.

A few other options you may want to consider:
1. Contact the store where you bought if from; swap with an International version (Model SL-1210 Mark II; same price as SL-1200 Mark II); dual voltage switchable on rear of unit: 120 volts/60 Hz (U.S.) or 220 volts/50 Hz (Europe). You hopefully just spend for the cost of shipping + a restocking fee;
2. Contact 3rd party Technics TT specialist like TopDJGear, Quality Electronics, Planet DJ or DJHardware
and inquire if they would supply you the part(s) that you need to convert the 1200 to a 1210; or
3. Offer a swap on eBay.

Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
