My 2400w does not respond to print command. The "ready" light is on solid. I used a cheap "non authorized" toner cartridge and am wondering if this is related to the problem. When I first put them in, there was no problem. But eventually I started getting error messages on the computer like it "knew" these were not authentic konica minolta toners. I recently accidently deleted the driver. So I just uninstalled what was still there and reinstalled the software and this resolved the problem. But now I have no clue why the print command is not being responded to..it just kind of stopped responding! I will uninstall again and reinstall the software to see if anything changes.

Re: Will not respond to print command
Download the newest software from web and install it. if its not helping, check connections, if your printer has a display and menu key, you can print aut configuration and demo sheets, to see that the printer itself works. if not the last option is firmware upgrade.

nonexxx provides solution to this problem at the following:
1. Power Unit off 2. Open front cover 3. Press and hold GO and turn power on 4. When all 3 lights lit release and press GO twice 5. All lights turn solid 6. With all solid, press GO 5 times 7. Ready light GOes red 8. Close door and you're all setat
It depends upon the number of prints you have done since Feb and the toner cartridge capacity. Some toner cartridges have 2500 page capacity others have 5000 pages or more.
If you think you have not exceeded or reached the cartridge capacity, take it out of the printer and give it a shake in a horizontal position to distribute the toner evenly across the drum and place it back in the printer. This also works when the toner is nearly empty.
It is not a computer problem, when your printer won't come to ready. The lights flashing are due to a failure of some sort - electronic, or perhaps a fuser warm up problem. The fact is, whatever the fault, it is cheaper to replace this printer than have it repaired.
This happens to me every few months, I have to do a VERY detailed cleaning of all toner sensors. The knowledgebase on KM's website is actually very good about walking you through which sensors to clean and pictures indicating where they are located. This has fixed me up every time. GOOD LUCK!
