Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
Need instructions on how to take out and clean the trackball (as we had to before optical mice came out... Any idea? Warranty is expired so can't exchange the handset.
Ya mess around cleaning the track ball when you can buy new one for £4.99 with free postage

The only way to get it up and running again is physically remove and clean or replace the part. If you want somebody else to doit for you go to Blackberry Repair. If you want to do it yourself, here is a Blackberry pearl Repair Guide that shows how, the part is available on Ebay.

Spray electronic cleaning spray on to the track ball and allow to dry.
This will clean and free the track ball.
