Check the fuse. Its located on the right side looking in the rear of the TV its the small board where the power cord plugs into. The fuse is on that board.

THe "Squeal" that you have mentioned is caused by a faulty ballast board(lamp driver). Its the board to which the two thick wires go from the lamp. Replacing the part would resolve your problem
The whole dawn power supply board is shorted and dead.U have the equipments,a good trouble shooting and electronic skills,trouble shoot all those transformers out put,check all the primary and secondary out put of those coils of those power transformers?Some of those power tranformers are dead needed replacement.Or try website like Tvrepairworld.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement
On your Deflection board Look for Bad capacitors CP150 2200uf 16v CP114 CP120 in same circuit they will be puffed up on top if they are replace all 3 capacitors.other 2 are 220uf 35v and 330uf 35v
If you do not even get the power light to come on-start at the beginning---follow the power cord into the set and look for the fuse--this is where to start.

If this set had a shutdown problem the light for power would still come on---The typical resolution is to start where the power (120 volts ac comes in) and see what you have.
All these sets are very well protected--if you had a power outage or lost power and do not even get a click or the power light coming on you may be a lucky person---a completely dead set is better than one that has the power light on but does not work.

3 capacitors on your deflection board it will be bottom board on left hand sise of TV cp 150 2200uf 16v use 25v if it is puffed up on top it is Bad other 2 are cp114 cp120 220uf 35v in same circuit. For capacitors Call Mats 1-800-628-1118

First ck capacitors cp150 cp114 cp120 2200uf 16v and 220uf 35v if 150 is puffed up on top replace all 3 capacitors also ck Ribbon connectors there is 2 of them thst conect deflection board to SSB board. resolder all pinns on FBT flyback transfomer.
you hear what? is this sound a high voltage static? The fact that you have flashing light means the main fuse is good and your processor is receving power. THe processor is detecting a shutdown situation that causing it to shut down for safety. high voltage situations are the primary causes. but it can be one of about 20 conditions. at the shop we have a computer that reads error codes much like a autombile. the primary things to check for are a shorted horizontal output transisitor. if you hear a high voltage static then it means you tubes are trying to fire but are drawing to much current.
could be a few things..power deflection board, or if your voltages are correct you will need to replace the small signal board..either way it's gonna cost ya...200 to 300 $ for parts alone.
