I'm having possibly related problem. Everything hunky dory until I switched to Windows Vista - big mistake. I can copy cds easily into Windows Media Player but although they appear to transfer to the YH-925 player, the player itself neither recognises the new additions nor plays them.

Are you running windows media player on Vista, if so I'm having same problem. Appears one needs Windows XP, which is rather annoying..

Deleting files

If you need to run the recovery utility or format your YH-925, it needs to be in HDD Mode, not MTP mode. To temporarily restore the device back to HDD Mode:
  1. Ensure the YH-925 is powered off and disconnected from the PC
  2. Press and hold the >> button on the side of the device.
  3. While still holding the >> button, connect the YH-925 to your PC.
  4. YH-925 is restored back to HDD Mode until disconnected from the computer.
  5. Format the YH-925 by right clicking on the device in My Computer.

My Samsung YH-925 20 GB MP3 dose not charge

there is a possibility that the battery is malfunctioning or there is a problem with the device itself.

You can try to replace the battery, try another charger. If that does not work, that means the device is already for replacement.

Music software of Samsung YH-925 20 GB MP3 can't regcognized the device

You may get the error that you're getting if there's a problem with the USB port of the computer, with the USB cable, or with the USB port of the device itself.

Try connecting the Samsung mp3 device to a different USB port of your computer. Usually, it's best to connect the device on the USB port at the back of the computer. Make sure that the USB cable is properly inserted on the USB port of the device and on the computer.

You may also try connecting the Samsung mp3 device to a different computer to isolate the problem.

Another isolation is to try connecting a different USB device on the computer, just to check if the USB ports of the computer is working properly.

Try using a different USB cable also, if you have any.

Problem with YH-925

It appears you need to use the rollback program, or the recovery program. But it also sounds like your usb cord is either broken or not plug in tightly. Press the usb adapter in untill you hear a click then plug it into the pc.
