It appears to be dead. I have unplugged the unit and the unit is non-responsive. It does not respond to pushing any of its buttons or the remote has no effect. Does it have a reset switch?

In CD players and in 99% of home electronics, power supplies are no longer being made with bulky iron "Transformers" but use a precision electronic circuit to replicate the transformer. This circuit uses a variety of transistors and other semi-conductors to accomplish this. Within this same "circuit" are capacitors which along with the other parts in the supply, must be within a precise tolerance for them to work.
In the quest to keep electronics marketable, some manufacturers have tried to cheapen their products with innovative ideas on how to make the same old parts and have failed miserably. One of the biggest failures in the industry has been the "capacitors" and the biggest failure has been within power supplies. THIS I BELIEVE is the problem you are experiencing as many many other electronics owners have also. One of the biggest outbreaks of these failing capacitors has been within the computer industry where "motherboards" have had to be replaced in great quantities.
The problem is fixable but in general, not worth the cost of repair and replacement is the obvious remedy. Sorry, I hope you haven't gotten to attached to your disc player as it has become a "Throw-Away" world unless you invest some bigger bucks in a better disc player. Good Luck!

My DVR 433 H-K does not power up. Already checked the 220V AC power cable. Everything OK with the cable. I suspect it is the fuse in FU01. What do you think ?

If the DVR is dead it could be the primary fuse.Typically its a 1.25Amp fuse. But remember a fuse does not blow with out provocation, there might be a short circuit else ware esp: the regulator chip.
After replacing the fuse turn it on with a 40 to 60 watt incandescent light bulb in series. On turning it on if the bulb remains glows full bright -- indicates a short circuit further up. Most probably the main switch mode supply IC must be at fault.

My daewoo dvd player shows that it has power, but the buttons on the dvd player and on the remote doesn't work. i have unplugged all connections then plugged them all back in and it still won't operate. i...

Remove all power from player, if it has a internal battery, remove it too, remove all power from player for 40 min. and that should reset it back to normal, if not then the processor is damaged.

What t.v. channel should i use for dvd?

Preferably you should connect it to a video input on the TV. If you have to use a "channel" use channel 3.

Pioneer DVR-320-S is dead.

Well if it is dead and the transformer is getting power then next step is the processor.  Which if it is dead, then I am sure all the internal components are as well.  My recommendation is have a professional give you and estimate and buy a UPS unit that will regulate the power to you important expensive units such as this.

Daewoo DVR-06 turns itself off while playing back

I have the same machine. It was randomly turning itself off 3 or 4 times during a regular 2 hour movie. In the setup menu there is an option to reset all the settings to the default original factory settings. I did so, went through the entire setup process again and my machine has not turned itself off since. I liken it to "rebooting".
