We bought a new VCR/CD and are having trouble getting the TV to work with it. When using the old unit, we ran one cable (the type used for hooking up cable TV) from the back of the VCR to the back of the TV and hooked into the antenna input. The new unit does not have any output from the VCR/CD that I can attach this cable onto. When I try to use other cable types listed in the VCR/CD instructions, the TV does not seem to recognize them. I've long since lost the remove and manual for the TV (with 5 kids, this is a chronic problem...) Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Orion STV 2763 27in TV
I am assuming that your TV has Video IN source selection.
You need to use the Video/Audio OUTput of the VCR/CD and connect them to the Video/Audio INput of the TV. To do this you would have to use a 3-wire shielded cable with male RCA connectors color yellow, red & white. RCA male connectors, yellow is usually video, red/white is audio left/right.
as shown OUT of VCR/CD to IN of TV.
Pnce done, play the VCR/CD with a good known CD or tape and set TV to Video mode.
Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

ok try unplugging tv then hold the power button in for 20 seconds then plug tv in and turn it on. Had a rca do this to me (tubed 32in) before I did this fix I ran audio out from vcr to an amp via rca cable audio out
Does the TV has AV? IF it has, then you would have to look at the back of the TV again, there should be a 20 pin connector if you don't see the place where the yellow, white and red wire will fit into.
If the TV does not have AV, then follow the steps below;
Get a Video cassette recorder (VCR)
Use an RF wire to connect the TV to the VCR.
Search the TV station to get the VCR displayed on the TV
Connect an antenna to the VCR
connect your CD Player to the "in" of the VCR
Press the AV on the VCR and your Cd player would display
By now it should be ready for use.
If you miss any step, let me know so that I can direct you further.
Take your connector with the 3 colors red, white & yellow and plug into VCR OUT.The
other end (w/ 3 plugs) goes into the INPUT on the back of the TV. Next insert a
VHS Tape & search the TV for input or a channel below #2 for
Cable#1,2,3 or AUV Channel.
In this case; Channel AUX #1
Shows / Plays Video w/ clear sound & picture.
if you dont already have the remote set up then find the codes and t it up. the remote should have a button that says either tv/video or input. depending on the tv it should take you to a few channels through this button. look for either input 1 or 2, or even GAME. these should be the channels it will play on.
Do you have the original remote control?. Without it you will not be able to switch to video or to the TV mode. If you do have the Original remote hand unit, look for a button call input or video. A universal will not work so please do not waist your hard earnd cash. Good Luck
