The scooter is not taking the charge,the light stays yellow & red.

Mine is an Invacare M51 Pronto Surestep with an onboard Winsunny battery charger. My charging lights are solid red and green/ yellow. Depending on if it is charging or not. What kind of charger do you have?
I have to replace my charger because it is not working. My green light is staying green while charging even though my joystick is showing my batteries are depleting and I just got new batteries. sigh.

I would take the batteries to a place that sells auto batteries and have them checked Sounds like they may be no good. Take to an independent store as there is no charge to check them Have them write down what they found and then go back where you bought it.

it may already have a full charge have you tried using it?

Hi, is it possible for a picture of this ??? the reason being they used two diif versions so I want to be sure...

By the way you say you changed the batteries but what about the charger, are you 100% sure that working okay as in charging the batteries to a ideal voltage level around 27.5 DC ,max voltage should no more than 28.2 volts DC, this will give you a 100% usage of the batteries in question...

CHANGE CABLES TO BATTERY

i had the same problem with mine and it ended up being that one of the batteries was bad, there are two 12v batteries wired in series under the seat, usually you can tell which one is bad by looking at them, one of the batteries will be swelled up

What type and what voltage were the old batteries removed from the scooter?

Pop you are charging when the light turns green you are fully charged and red not good Ya did good Hope this helps

I hooked a 12 volt car battery charger to the battery for about two min. Then I put it in it's own charger,the yellow & green lights came on for about 5 sec. then the red light came on . About 30 min. later the green light came on and the battery is fine.
