Question about Harman Kardon SoundSticks Computer Speakers

1 Answer

No sound from Soundsticks

I know that there have been many similar problems to this
already posted, but none of them seem to rectify the problem.

My Soundsticks are around four years old, have worked
perfectly since then but have just stopped working. I have
tried reinstalling the driver, and using them on another
computer, adjusting the volume controls, making sure they
are not on mute, etc, but nothing fixes the problem. I doubt
whether they have blown, or been dropped, etc.

Please help!

Harman tell me that the older USB soundsticks are no longer supported by Mac. There is no driver in later OSX editions.

First things first:

1) time to change your stick speakers.
2) if got warranty, use it, if not, have to RMS them but I just
counsel you to change for others.

I've got a dim blue flashing light from my subwoofer with Soundsticks usb. Is this a poweradapter problem or an electronic problem?

Hello
It is with its power transformer problem itself. There is a protection fuse inside, which will blow out, of any direct short circuit occurs inside the unit. when the fuse blows out, a blue light, such you describes here can be seen from it, as its body is transparent.
But, before replacing this fuse, you have to find out the exact reason for its blow out, before replacing it with an other similar one. OK.

I purchased a set of Harman Kardon Soundsticks however they light up but not sound - can you please advise how best to get these fixed. I tried to get help from apple but they pretty much sent me on my way...

I was just given soundsticks speakers with no instructions, and had the same problem. On the right speaker are two buttons marked + and -. Pressing the + button raised the sound level from none to full volume. In my case it was an operator problem.

WRONG IDEA, YOU CANNOT MAKE AN OUTPUT SOUND ON YOUR MP3 THROUGH USB, THE BEST THING THAT WORKS IS ... REPLACE YOUR HEADPHONE WITH A CORD [AUDIO JACK] AND CONNECT IT TO YOUR PC SOUND CARD THROUGH AUDIO INPUT HOLE. .. THIS REALLY WORKS... PLEASE VOTE FOR MY POSTING

Soundsticks not recognised

Remember that speakers that plug into an analogue port do not need drivers - the drivers are for your sound card.
I sounds as though the problem lies there.

HI
Time to change sub, or RMS product, for a change, if warranty.
it is a problem with the resistor inside sub.

Hi there

Toward the base of one of the satellite speakers are two chrome finished plates...these are touch volume plus and minus pads! It seems that these units default to low level if not used for some time. Just try touching the + pad!

Harman Kardon Soundsticks II left speaker

Hi, Kazim
Firts things First:
1) check connector for 2 way sound. you can use a headphone for this.
2) you also buy Ipod dock sound speakers, there is Ihome speakers, great ones, for less than 25.00 dollars.
3) you have to see balance on those speakers.
good luck

use a clear silicone based sealant (similar to the type used for caulking and in fish tanks) I'm guessing you used CA or superglue, and thats what melted your plastic, you're using too much also most likely.
