I have a magnavox 32mf338 tv,the red light is on,when u hit the power button the green light flashes but will not turn on what would cause this

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

I have a Magnavox 32 inch flat screen, model # 32mf338b/f7. We used some generic universal remote, now it is stuck on 4:3 screen ratio. I cannot figure out how to get it back to the normal 16:9 ratio. ...

Go to above link and download the user's manual. Follow instructions to change to 16:9 setting.

You can also press the format button on your remote to change to 16:9 format.

The sound went out on my brand new tv It was working fine then when I turned it back on there was no sound and the images where very pink

if tv is under a year old the manufacturers warranty will cover any defect and repair for free.

WHen it turns on it scans for channels but never picks up a channel. We have directtv so all we need is it to pick up channel 3 or 4 so we can watch it through the box.

forget about the cable box for a minute. You need to go into the menu and change the source, right now its set to cable and your tv is acting as is own cable box decoder.

Watching tv last night and all of a suden the sound just went, disconnected the surround sound and still no sound with tv. Set is onlly 2.5 yrs old.

may be its settings issue try to reset the sound settings if sound not oik den its your systm board issue

If your TV does not have a scart socket, the only equivalent HD lead (as the wii doesn't support HDMI) is a wii component cable like the one here: http://www.amazon.com/Official-Wii-Component-Video-Cable-Nintendo/dp/B000JJRV90/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1262346399&sr=8-1 .

Most HDTV's havea component interface on the back as well as this is required. The six jacks are all colour coded so it shouldn't be a problem plugging it in the back but this is the only way to connect it up if you don't have a scart lead available.
