Scan you system with a good Anti-virus or Malware removal tools like A-Squared Anti-Malware or kaspersky Internet security 2010 with lastest updates installed.trojan or Malware infection usually leads to such problem.
If you are sure that the system is uninfected then open your Notebook and clean it with an Air Blower mainly near the processor area as overheating due to dust contamination usually cause such problem too.
If the problem still persists then do a clean install as corrupt Operating system files leads to sych problem too. But Backup your important files before going for new install.
