Question about Canon ZR90 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Hello! Recently I got my camcorder CCD problem fixed by Canon and whn I recieved it the picture was working fine but I'm now not able to load a cassette and record it ... as soon as I insert the cassette after couple of seconds I hear a Beep and message "remove the cassette"
Could someone please let me know how to resolve this problem other than sending it back to Canon
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Message reads eject. won't eject
My camera did the exact same thing. I called Canon tech support and they advised to unplug power cord, remove large main battery, and remove smallbackup battery. The small back up battery is under a small door under the main backup battery. With everything disconnected, turn camera to "camera" and then to "vcr" and then to off. Wait a few seconds. Put everything back together and try to eject again. The tech said that resets all the mechanical parts. However, it did not work for me. They now want me to send it to them for a paid repair. I have done some research on the internet and this is a VERY commom problem and it usually costs about $150 to correct via Cannon. Many times the problem occurs again. I am very very frustrated. I pulled my camera out last night to get it ready as my wife is 9months into her pregnancy. Now, I have to send my camera away for 5-9 days. Really really upset.

i had the same problem. you may have plugged your power supply into the a/v slot near the function button..that is what i did. there is another place near the lens to plug it in. try that and then finalize should be an option.

I had the same problem. Checked the site and found a solution of dropping the camera onto a carpeted floor from about 1/2m to 1m. Thought that it was bullsh1t but was desperate and so tried it. worked a treat!!!
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Canon ZR90 has a blank/black
I have the same problem with my Canon ZR90. I have had it off & on for awhile now where sometimes it works & then it will not. I also am getting grey lines on the playback via the screen in the camera and on the computer while importing. Just called Canon and they are sending a call tag for the replacement of the video sensor (that's what they are saying the black screen is about). They pay for shipping and if it is another problem they will contact me. SO the recall is still available.
