After a power outage of approximately 45 minutes i have no display

Hello
There is a Lithium battery inside your clock to get a backup even the power is interrupted for a long time. This battery may last up to 3 years eventhough there is no power to the device. If this has gone weak, the backup fucntion will not be. so check this battery.
Just reset the device. It will make it work properly. To reset the clock after total memory loss; do the folloing.

[1] Connect the radio to your AC outlet and let the clock set itself.

[2] Depress the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons together. The display will change
from 'Time'to 'Year'

While holding the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons, press the SET + button
to set the display to the correct Year, then release the buttons
OK.

The alarm display in the lower right corner on model #RC40-A keeps blinking and will not stop. This happens with both wake 1 and wake 2 options. I fixed it once by unplugging the unit but it this did not...

Hello
Just reinstall the battries and adjust the time once again.

Battery back-up operation

* This clock radio is equipped with

a memory holding system that can

be powered with 2 "AA" batteries

(included). The power failure

protection circuit will not operate

unless battery is installed.

* When normal household power

is interrupted, or AC line cord

is unplugged, the batteries will

power the clock radio to keep

track of time and alarm settings

programmed into memory.

* When the battery backup functions,

the digital display will not light,

however, the function of alarm

still occurs during the power

interruption if remaining battery

power is adequate.

* Normal operation will resume after

AC power is restored so you will not
have to reset the time or the alarm

To install batteries:

1* Remove battery compartment door

(located at the bottom of the radio)

by applying thumb pressure to the

tab on battery door and then lift
the door out and off the cabinet

2* Insert 2 AA batteries (included).
3* Replace the compartment door

Replace batteries every year.

Power is fed to the unit even

when it is not functioning. To

cut the power supply off, the
power cable must be unplugged
OK.

Batteries only last 8-9 weeks even when unit is on hold and not used. Battery indicator shows no bars. I pull the batteries and checked them with a battery tester they test not "good" but "oK". I'v had the...

You should always remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for the next 24 hrs.Placing the unit in the hold position merely prevents the unit from doing anything except for keeping it in the mode its in while in the hold position.this is handy to keep it from being accidently turned off or stopped.the recorder maintains data such as time and date through an internal clock.this clock must be powered or you would loose your time and date and other settings.

Problems after car battery replacement

Sounds to me like you've got a fualty radio. maybe your clock radio was staying on and thats what drained your old battery. I would remove your radio and check the wiring. make sure you don't have any rubbed through wires or anything. If there's no evidence of faulty wiring then try a new cd player. After all, it could be an electrical issue inside your cd player. hope this helps ya out. O and by the way your clock light should be a yellow wire in the back of the head unit i beleive. the yellow wire is constant power from the battery specifically for the clock. you may also want to check your orange wire. that wire is an illumination wire for the radio. hope this helps

IN 120 base keeps flashing CL

This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting.
The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.

To reset the base unit clock:
- press the OK key
- press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed.
- press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last two digits of the year need to be entered).
- The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK.
- The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK.
- The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED".
- Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.

The base unit should now stop flashing "CL".
