Question about Hisense TC24FS2H TV

Open Question

Can't hook Hisense TC24FS2H TV to Philips DVD622/37 DVD Player--looked simple but ....

I have spent so many hours trying to get this tv hooked up to my dvd player with no luck. It doesn't look like it should be complex but....

On the back of the DVD player, I have a yellow (video), red and white (audio out) connectors.

I plug the cord I have (yellow/red/white) into the DVD and then plug the matching colours (I'm not colour blind!) into the matching colours on input2 or input1--there's also an input on the side of the TV which I've tried.

I turn the TV on and cycle through the different mode--video1, video2, and channels (I've tried just about every channel) and nothing comes up.

I'm stumped...I don't know what else to try and there's no online manual to work with. I can't count the hours I've spent messing around with this... If anyone could help I would be very, very, very grateful!!!!!

Thanks, Jenny

Well, I got a great picture from mine...bought slightly used, but absolutely no audio at all.  And, I am also not color blind.  All the colors match up, and I have a Philips Magnavox TV should it should be more than compatible.  Help! Please!  Anyone!

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

SOURCE: tv wont stop scanning between tv, video1,

Possible there is a sync issue as the return pulses do not come back to lock the scanned channels. This can be an issue which can vary from a simple loose connection to a fault iin the signal processor. This would need the help of a serious probe with a signal tracking using a scope and assisted equipments. Take consensus as this can be tricky before you tamper the board.

Use the "auto search" method to program the remote and it found a code on its own and get your tv unlocked. Try using 0478 code

We have a philips up-grader dvd player and get color distortion

I would try hooking something else up to your tv that is hdmi compatible. If your tv looks fine, then you know it would be the dvd player. If it's the dvd player, then I would suggest getting a different brand completely. I have had alot of bad experiences myself and other people as well when it comes to the philips brand
