Sony tv trinitron model kv-32s22.tv comes on an has picture then will go black but will still have auido .can cut power off but picture will not come back.can sit a day an cut back on an will have picture for a second or two
IT SOUNDS LIKE THE VERTICAL I.C. NEEDS SOLDERING. WHEN IT LOOSES THE PICTURE DOES IT HAVE ERROR CODE 2 ? THE RED LED BLINKING 2 THEN 2 THEN 2. THAT IS LOSS OF VERTICAL. IF YOU SMACK THE SIDE OF THE SET.(NOT TO HARD) WITH OPEN PALM ON LOWER BACK IF THE PICTURE COMES BACK IT IS THE VERTICAL IC THAT NEEDS TO BEE SOLDERED. DON.

Your local TV repair guy should be able to go in and recharge the picture tube. Just had mine done for about $165 and it looks good as new (and this was on a KV-32s22 that we picked up at a yard sale). Well worth it.
It is repairable.Open the TV and check the fuse and then the flyback transformer for any loose soldering. check for obvious burnt transisters, resistors, capacitors etc. the flyback is the component that has a wire to the picture screen on the inside of the TV. Be careful. Capacitors and picture tubes retain high current. If you don't know what your doing take it for repair.
Your TV's tuner is the problem. 1st thing to try is just to
sesolder its connections to the main circuit board. If that
doesn't work replace the tuner. Also could put a meter on the
power coming into the tuner and see if it is drooping in sync with your
picture. Tuners are not that expensive to replace.
Intermittent dead with red standby light on, but won't switch back on,
comes back on it's own, won't respond to remote or local controls
Low 5v standby supply due to diode D869 faulty, check by replacement
well based on ur info, ur tv has a prolem in power supply section, particularly regulation circuit. the regulator of the circuit seems to be mulfunctioning thats why insufficient voltage is coming out from B+ which in turn goes to high voltage circuits thats why the produced picture is insufficient. if this is very technical to u, have it check with a qualified technician.
